Hello again, Ave and I are on a roll here!
I received a package from Necessary Clothing and as you all know I’ve loved them for years! I actually had purchased some items when I was pregnant with Avynn! Anyways, I was in a rush to blog this outfit, mainly because once I tried the skirt on, I realized my belly stretched out the fabric wayyyyy too much, making it a tad-sheer. This skirt has the perfect casual-to-dressy idea, and I know I’ll be wearing this post-baby! I’ve owned a million black skirts before, and I have to say I’m most obsessed with the length of this one.
Although the photos don’t show it (because as I moved the skirt rose up), this skirt actually goes right to the ankles! Ankle length almost always screams dressy, so I wanted to play-down that vibe.
James bought me some (Mother’s Day) classic Reebok sneakers which I’m pretty sure I had the same exact pair in middle school (but in pink-of course). And one of my favorite 90’s style trends aside from the skirts + skorts with sneakers, were the chokers! And man are they coming back! P.S.-James totally hated it, and told me Ave + I looked “gothic,”-how rude haha
As I talked about in my previous post, I’ve been the Queen of DIY! This black distressed tee was also sent from Necessary, and for me it just wasn’t “destroyed” enough! I decided to pull at the holes that it came with, and also take clippers to create more holes! I love love love the way it came out, and it’s been my go-to black tee lately! I will definitely be checking out their site for more colors. Also….ladies, Although this shirt only runs for around $12, you can achieve this look so easily with tops you already have! – I did a few of my old shirts as well this week 😉
Avynn’s outfit was a complete- DIY! Her skirt is actually an old small tank-top that no longer fits, so I pinned it near her back, and gave it the “90’s tie-up” just as I did to my tee! Her shirt was a long sleeve that shrunk, so since the sleeves were already too short, we chopped them!
With the sleeves we chopped from Ave’s skirt, we cut, rolled, and pinned those into chokers! And per usual, she has my look from head-to-toe (even looking down to copy my pose)
Again, I am wearing my new watch seen here –> JWW from JORD!
