What is this weather?!

March 26, and the sun is slowly peaking out-I’m begging for nicer weather!!!

Yesterday was James and my 13th year together-knowing, growing, and loving. This week I finished my last mid-term, so over all I’m feeling accomplished, and ready for Spring. We all are. Our family also just went through a tremendous loss of a close family member so I’m struggling to keep it all together.

Life is precious, and powerful.

I want to keep this short and sweet- here’s a look I put together. Ladies-take a basic pair of denim and a t-shirt and make an over coat and your shoes the star of the show!

Details about my outfit can be found always on my Instagram at @kashaxmarie

Back in all black

Yikes, embarrassing how long it’s been since I’ve logged in here. I won’t lie, this year I’ve done so much reflecting. Reflecting pushes me away from opening up over social media ( this world is scary, people are too judgmental). Also, if this wasn’t a full time job for me (blogging), I don’t even think I’d want to “exist” on social media. But let me just say, social media for sure is so powerful. I’ve been networking with thousands of people this past year, and I can not wait to dive into 2018 with open arms. I have a ton to share and even more to experience!

With the semester ending, I’ve never felt more proud of myself to finally accomplish something great to show my girls! I’m finally one step closer to my degree-what’s even better than that? Being able to tap into my Creative outlets and continue to work on some amazing projects at home while the girls run around like crazy!

With a fresh start, of course I chopped my hair, and wanted to jump back into my blog with all-black-everything ….well aside from these white booties that I’ve been obsessing over for awhile now!

As always I’ll keep this short and sweet after saying-never ever let anyone over power your energy. Nothing for you will pass you. There’s never a “perfect time” for anything. Never put more effort lighting someone else’s flame, before first lighting yours! Actually, no : be the light, be the flame.

I allowed way too much to over power my thoughts, emotions, and energy. Then I realized wait: I’m a strong mother of two beautiful, smart, little girls. I’m in love with the most amazing best friend god could bless me with, and now I’m married to him for life. Not to ever boast, but just to remind myself; I already won. I have everything! Anything that comes next is just accomplished bonuses! Always aim for more, but never be dissatisfied with what you already hold close.

Mid-week Metallics

                                Hey hey!!
I’m already half way through my second week of classes-so I have bragging rights right now haha

Wednesday’s have always been my favorite day of the week, mid-way through, and something always made me feel so accomplished waking up Wednesday mornings! Sadly this means September is half way gone, and summer is fading. This is my time for transition outfits: where I take choices and combine seasons. This usually happens in layers- that is why I loooooove Fall; L A Y E R S!!!

A friend of mine who I actually haven’t seen in years reached out to me explaining she just opened her first boutique! I was so excited for her and she sent me some goodies! Because I under went surgery this summer I honestly think I’ve been in a bathing suit maybe 5x.

She sent me a few 1 pieces, and this one fit best ( although I never show the full details since I refuse to expose my stomach right now). I’ve recently also been rocking a pair of sunnies from her boutique as well, they can be seen on my Instagram in my most recent photos! At @kashaxmarie .

Anyways, I love that the metallic one piece matched my metallic booties I snagged a few months back from ZARA .

I feature these in a lot of photos because they remind me of a pair of rose gold metallic flats I had years ago, and I’m so glad my love for futuristic fashion is making a small spot light.

I wore these to class yesterday and got stopped by so many girls! One told me, “this outfit is confident,” haha

You can find similar booties everywhere like Here …. Here …. Here ( I tried to give you guys some versatility)!

Denim-on-denim will never stop (forewarning you now), so of course I took advantage of this once again as you can see. I treated the swim suit as a body suit which pictured looks like a bralette.

You can find her boutique on Instagram at @24kclothing_ ( you will see more from her line on my Instagram)!

Next I wanted to talk about this jacket I’ve showcased a few times! Another friend of mine owns this company Jypsy! I’ve blogged about this brand in the past (I styled a red Adidas Jypsy bomber).

I’m obsessed with this acid wash “Cotton Candy” jean jacket! I’ve been trying so hard to embrace color in my wardrobe!

You can find/follow this brand here at @Jypsy.life

As you can see in this photo

my hair has some waves; I’ve been mentioning in several posts now that I’ve teamed up full-time with L’Ange Hair <—— that link gives you my insane discount code. I’ve never been the type to obsess over my hair, but it’s been so soft and fluffy!

Feel free to ask me any questions about our products! To achieve the wavy look above I used the 25mm (1inch) Titanium blush wand! I can give you half off -like I said insaneeeee

I chose to layer my outfit to transition these summer-like pieces. My spray tan has faded, and my metallic sunnies went missing ; but overall this look was comfy and confident haha

Saturday Blues

It’s been a long summer for me. I’m just now hitting 7.5 weeks post-op from my hernia surgery and lawddddd what a recovery. As always recommended please do your research before you agree to procedures! No complaints here-but I thought I’d bounce-back quicker!

And summertime is all about feeling comfortable, cooling down, and making memories. So I finally decided to throw on a bathing suit I’ve had for months
I love the denim-on-denim, since childhood so let me tell you-it will always be my go-to!

It took a lot for me to post these photos of my stomach, because I’m not fully healed, and I never expose it! But hey, beauty is skin deep guys, better to be natural and embrace your flaws then to be like the rest of ’em- photoshopped.  My goal is to actually get to the beach before I start classes! I hope you’re all enjoying the last of your summer, I’ll keep this short and sweet!

Love who you are, fix things you want to improve, but realize you’re more than what you look like. It’s hard to feel comfortable with my stomach showing because it’s been my biggest weakness for years. But I’m working on it, and for now I realize I’ve held two huge and beautiful baby girls in this body, and I have the best man who loves me for me. I’m happy and healthy and that’s what counts. I remind myself of all of these blessings every single day, and this has helped me move past my looks and towards my goals!

Nude Attitude

                            Hey hey hey!!

With Holidays literally around the corner, I haven’t even had time to blink! I got hired at a new job and we leave for vacation the first week of January!

So much has been going on and pretty soon I’ll be working wearing scrubs, so I’ve been trying my hardest to whip all of my favorite items out of my closet!

I have such a fun announcement for the first of the year, and I’ve never been so unsure about something ever haha

And guys don’t worry, I’m NOT pregnant again, ha

Although it’s been soooo cold here in the 401, I’ve been refusing to bundle up (clearly why I’m feeling sick). I whipped this favorite coat of mine out finally!

And although these heels are 2 sizes too big, I’ve still been rockin’ with them!

These jeans I’ve had for forever and when I tell you they’re my favorite, they’re top fave! They’re high waisted, and surprisingly from Charlotte Russe!

I think I only have 3 pairs of denim that fit still and these are one of the few that aren’t ripped!

I received the cutest little necklace with my daughters names Ivory, and Avynn on the ‘dog-chain-like’ pieces

I haven’t taken it off, I’ve already had a few people ask where I received it from!

Lemon Bug Shop sent me this necklace, that I know I will for sure be blogging frequently wearing!

My necklace was custom made with the girls names, and I chose the font, and to have mine gold;

Order yours here ➡️ Lemon Bug Shop
I snagged this cute mock neck sweater for only $10 at H&M!
My huge obsession with neutrals continues, and I find it’s easiest to throw outfits together in my closet by mixing hues like these hues of nudes!

Before I embark on a new career journey I made a promise to myself to stay up-to-date with my blogging, and with Florida creeping up on us, you’ll be seeing a lot more from my closet!!

When life gives you lemons…and denim

Hey guys! It’s been 3 weeks postpartum and I’m already antsy staying in the house too much! It’s also the first official day of fall, so I decided to get out of the house and complete a DIY activity! This denim Jean jacket!

I’ve had this jacket for over a year and I’ve gone back and forth with whether or not I wanted to destroy it with rips or bleach it. With the baby here I stayed wayyyy away from bleach and decided to whip out the blades haha

Interstate Co sent me this hat and I was alllll over it! First of all the lemonade sold me because Bey Bey Bey! Total Queen, and exactly how I’ve been feeling lately. Labor surprised me and once again I feel like superwoman.

There’s a bee next to the glass, and that’s me. Bringing the honey to the hive…making lemons into lemonade…taking what life throws at me and coming back stronger, and sweeter.

I know I’ll be featuring this hat more, because mom-life means no time for hair. As real as it gets, with yesterday’s makeup.

34 weeks w/his t shirts

This look was inspired by emotion. I’ve completely been reflecting on these past 25 years of my life…everything in the world screams hate and fear today. I remember running around barefoot in the 90’s (choker and all) and my only concern being going home for dinner. That was what being free felt like, I remember always feeling so much passion for capturing memories through photo and having all the time in the world to do so.

I now continue to squeeze in this passion of mine, along with progressing towards bigger goals for my families future.
I’ve been ranting for months about how I’ve been stealing James’ wardrobe, and let me tell you it’s either that, or I throw on a dress!

Because men’s clothing can sometimes be super plain, I decided to layer the crap out of myself…even in the hottest weather we’ve been blessed with here in the 401!

So we’ve finally reached 34 weeks and although I’m wearing bathing suit bottoms that can’t be seen, it’s been a #1 priority when I get home to take my pants off 😩.

Thankfully we have 6 weeks to go and we can snuggle with our little one all winter!

There’s nothing I love more than white in the summertime, and who doesn’t love denim?!

Here I’m layering my necklaces from Mirina Collections NY

It felt great to be behind the camera again. I wish more people would embrace their passionate.

A huge thank you to Charles Christian for these gorgeous shots!

Sunday Streetwear

Hey hey!

So I finally hit 29 weeks and we have 11 weeks to go! Noneeeee of my clothes fit me anymore so as I’ve mentioned a trillion times before I’ve been doing some DIY activities with my clothing! I’ve been wearing James’ clothes, and turning my old jeans into shorts!

I also went back platinum! If you know me well enough I can never ever keep my hair the same, it changes like the weather I swear! And I finally found a hat with holes so I don’t sweat all summer!

I started my day off in wedges and switched to sneakers because this back of mine 😩😩

But overall I wanted to blog for you guys because my Timehop showed me 4 years ago when I was making shorts I was so creative with my DIY so it inspired me to keep up with it while I’m still staying-at-home!

I love how my shorts came out! There’s no way these jeans would fit if they didn’t have a trillion holes!

Ladies!!!! Use what you already have to create the look you want! Believe me I’ve been the one to always complain about how I have “no clothes” and really you just have to dig deeper in your closet!

I love this tomboy look, it’s so simple with earth tones and military vibes!

Everyone should own a onesie!

Call me crazy but nothing is more comfortable to me than a 1 piece outfit of any kind. You name it, romper, jumpsuit, one-piece bathing suit and even a onesie! (Until you decide to go pee)

I’m sure most of you have seen the onesies around Christmas time that everyone gets gifted, or can’t forget when everyone was going crazy over the “Snuggie.” Haha

I’ve been living in this “onesie” of mine lately! To me it screams Richard Simmons in the 80’s! I actually purchased this about 3 summers ago at a thrift store in Providence! I used to wear it often for a workout outfit, and who am I kidding it’s getting sooooo easy to just throw comfy things on- I’m now 26 weeks along with baby Ivory Elle!

Lately I’ve seen so many of these one piece jumpers/onesies and who knew the 80’s are making a small appearance in 2016. I so badly wanted to find Avynn something to match this and it’s been the biggest struggle! Instead, I threw this on (ironically) after my workout to run some errands.

My back has been killing me lately (probably since I’ve been too stubborn to put down the heels). So I’ve been living in my sneakers, I just pretend to go for a sporty look instead of wearing sweats 24/7. But let me tell you…the minute I get home I’m in nothing but a t-shirt 😳.

Also, with pregnancy and these amazing vitamins I am taking, my hair is growing quicker than I thought…so I live in hats lately-no complaints here.

Today I really wanted to stay comfortable but still not feel completely naked-since this tight onesie shows e v e r y t h i n g! So the perfect cure for self conscious body = tying anything and everything around my waist 😏.

Other than wanting to be comfy, I think wearing sporty clothing always makes us feel a little more motivated (am I the only one?!)

I’ve been staying steady with my workouts + it’s been harder than I thought….I’ve already gained more weight with this pregnancy and I’m slowly trying to convince myself it’s muscle…somewhere haha

But more than anything I am feeling great for 26 weeks! I start classes next week and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Also seen in these posts today is my JORD watch of course! And there’s still time to enter your email below in the chance to win $75 off any watch of your choice! And ladies….Father’s Day is slowly but surely around the corner, a watch would be the perfect gift!!! Remember May 29th is the last day to enter!
