Tomboy X

It’s been forever, I know I know! It was my Spring break this past week, and all I did was stress about 1 more mid term coming Tuesday- haha

James and I go to always go to Florida every year for our Anniversary, and Avynn’s birthday as well. This year we decided to skip the vacation and reach some bigger goals.

With being on-the-go (always) I promised myself I’d do more than just “throw myself together”, but Menswear has been my go-to since pregnancy!

I teamed up about a month ago with a brand called TomboyX . I love what their brand stands for, they embrace all shapes and sizes-they sell bras and underwear. I decided to wear my 9″ briefs in a menswear look that was so so comfy!

I loved the color of these boxers, and how soft they are. These are from their Micromodal collection! I have another pair I’ll be capturing soon. James is already fighting me for these.

Hopefully we will be seeing more of a glimpse of Spring soon-I love taking basic shoes and a basic top, and having shorts/skirt as the highlight!

Spring has sprung!! haha totally kidding but this weather is getting us excited right?! The cold wind isn’t my favorite thing, but let me tell you I’ve been smiling my entire walk to class.

Mid-terms are almost over for me (1 left), and I’ve been M.I.A again. Today I wanted to keep things short and sweet! Friday I chopped my hair! I was soooo nervous going into the appointment, but I think all along it was excitement. Why did I chop it? 1. I’ve never ever ever been attached to hair. This is why I swear I’m a tom boy at heart 2. I’ve never been one of those girls who cried when their hair dresser went too short, or scared to try a new color.

Lately I’ve been creating more content, and I wanted something for Spring, a nice chic change. Not the same old hair that was screaming “soccer mom.”- (Nothing wrong with that p.s.)

However I want to make it known-HAIR DOES NOT DEFINE A PERSON. I get this 10x a week from a stranger- “wow look at all of her hair, so crazy” or “what nationality is she? look at that huge head of hair.” These are always stated/asked about my 4-year-old’s-hair.

Trust me, I don’t get offended by any of that, I love Avynn’s hair-never been more envious of another human being in life aside from her haha

Short hair feels so fresh, and new and I’m actually obsessed with it. I wish I would have taken the jump sooner in life if anything lol. I wanted to just point out that if you are looking for a cut (maybe not as short as me), make sure you’re going to a professional who has a picky, concentrated eye!

I’ve gotten my hair chopped this short 3x in my life, and this cut is by far insanely amazing. Ever go to a salon and take 1084973589437 selfies after because you know your hair will never look like that again? I didn’t have to do this, and I’m screaaaaaming! This cut is SO low maintenance, chic, and my hair dresser Wendy is insanely talented with shears!

When I get out of the shower, my hair falls exactly like it did when it was washed at the salon.

If you’ve been thinking of cutting, or trimming and you live in Rhode Island, please make an appointment with Wendy / really any of the ladies at Art Form Salon ! If you want to see their work, before and afters (featuring me as well) Make sure to follow them : @Artform_salon

If you book through me you can actually save some mulah! Let me know if you have any questions, and to see photos of my new look head to my Instagram at @Kashaxmarie

Less is more!

Happy February 1!!! Shortest month, but with the most goals I swear! I’ve never been obsessed over Valentine’s Day – however I wanted to at least get excited for something I love- Making less more!

Since I was younger I loved to take things from my closet and transform them. I loved DIY, and I loved to create and design my own outfits. When it comes to holidays and events 8/10 I decide to put stuff together that I already have in my closet. This way I always put my own twist on whatever I wear.

When the New Year came around I wanted to go through my closet and get rid of a tonnnn. I had the thought “less is more” in mind. Minimalism. I filmed a “Less is more with L’ange” video on my channel that I will be posting! I explain here how not only was my look simple and easy, but L’ange’s products make your look more, even only using 2 products like I did!

I have a lot of comments and messages sent to me weekly asking where I purchased this or that, or even just endless compliments saying “I love how you put things together,” “I love your outfit,” “style me.” It makes me happy knowing my creativity inspires other women.

I love to take clothes and transition them, I love to layer, I love to mix things together.

In my video I show you all how to take a simple shirt, hair style, and bold lip- and use these tips for any birthday, event, holiday, or night out!

My healthy hair journey!

I’m bacccccck! I feel that out of all social media outlets I’ve been neglecting my blog the most, and I made a promise to continue to write, write, write. So now I will start overloading you guys with posts! If you do follow my other pages/channel you probably notice how much I’ve been posting about hair, hair, hair!

I work full time for an amazing company- L’ange! I love to hop on any chance I get to share a discount with my readers, because I’m telllllling you this brand will change your life!

First and foremost I’m such a low maintenance person in general, so I have always loved at least keeping up with a funky unique hair color-but ironically the first day out of the salon was pretty much the only day I wore it down and styled- haha

I just never took time/had time to straighten my entire head, curl it, you name it. When I discovered how quick and easy L’ange made it, I fell in loooooove; and began my hair journey!

Around this time last year I had super short, bright bleached platinum/silver hair. Loved it at the time-looking back now like yikes! Although my hair was freshly chopped it looked so dead, damaged, and sad. After trying out a few products from L’ange I knew I wanted to get more involved! I began using their purple shampoo and conditioner, nourishing gloss, dry shampoo, and root booster! (Not to mention their wand that i’ll never stop bragging about). Every single one of these products has made daily & weekly appearances in my hair routine!

I noticed not only did my hair look amazing, but it felt SO soft and healthy, and was growing like weeds! You can see all of my photos on my Instagram for first-hand proof! I only decided to chop my hair again because I’m not a fan of super long hair- all I do with long hair is throw it in a bun, and if it’s down I look like I’m 12!

After collecting a ton of tools and products from L’ange, it became life changing. Having a collection with everything you could possibly need makes it so easy to manage my hair routine, in such a quick and easy way!

What’s in my bag?

Back again, I have less than 4 days until I’m back in full-time student mode, so I figured I would squeeze in as much content as possible! Blog sets will turn to tests so so soon-sigh.

So I’ve always been a big bag woman! Not “big ‘into’ bags,” but have had a love for big  bags. I throw everythinnnnnng in it, which is such a love-hate relationship.

A few months back I was sent a diaper bag/backpack/tote from Lily Jade

I will be uploading a video on our Youtube  Channel tomorrow with all of these items I’ll be writing about here.

Being a mom “on-the-go,” means I throw everything in my bag, this is exactly why I needed a huge bag that’s sturdy, won’t bend or break, and one that will last!

The first item that always goes from my desk to my bag is my dry shampoo from L’ange

I love this dry shampoo specifically for the way it makes my hair feel and look! Usually other dry shampoos -yes correct the greasy hair, but they leave my hair feeling dry and brittle! I swear this dry shampoo is called deja vu because it brings me back to the exact moment my hair was freshly washed and dried!

It doesn’t have a color to it, so I don’t have to worry about putting this in my hair in a careful fashion-just spray, shake, and done!

I also really love how the packaging has a tight cap, so when I throw it in my bag on-the-daily, I never have spills!

You can find the dry shampoo here —> Deja Vu

Next I talked about a few more items in my bag- these amazing, thick diapers/wipes from Parasol , my favorite mascara called ‘Grand opening’ by KB  and an amazing scar cream that I’ve been using post-surgery from CELSUS!

My last 2 items I chose to share were a few more beauty items – first the Maracuja oil by Tarte , and lastly one I’m insanely crazy over, L’ange’s Root Booster

I feel as if the Root Booster and the Dry Shampoo are the dynamic duo! When my hair goes flat and greasy, especially with 2-3 day hair, or right after a work out; I find these guys are the best solution! As I said, the dry shampoo revives my hair, and this root booster gives me so much volume and fluff! I’m obsessed with the results!

I get crazy volume when I apply it to my damp hair and then blow dry it, but just as much volume with dry, flat hair! You can see the results in all of my videos where I show before and afters!

I could go on and on about every little item in my bag, it’s huge and jam packed; but these have been my go-to’s over these past few months! I would love to hear some feedback from you all about any ideas or questions you may have!

Curling wand VS. Curling iron?!

Hey guys!

As you know my main focus lately has been about hair! Wanna know why? …After having baby #2 it’s no lie that I have less and less time. That’s two little girls anddddd me to get ready and out-the-door!

I was such a bun woman, haha throwing my hair in a bun, making my hair break! I swear the only time I felt happy with my hair was post-salon.

Once I discovered L’ange I’m not kidding my entire routine has changed. I use their 25mm barrel wand! I’ve tried out over 4 different “curling tools”, including using a straightener to curl my hair, but what I fell in love with was 1. Not only do my curls last 3-4 days, 2. I never “mess up.”I bet you know what I’m talking about, remember being young and having someone curl your hair with a curling iron and hating it so you had to rake your hair out with your fingers until you got home and brushed it all out?! Maybe I was just particular hahaI never ever liked the aftermath of a curling iron (yikes)- I got 2 perms before agreeing to get a curl from a curling iron. The downfalls I feel with a curling iron is that “curly sue,” identical looking curls-vibe.I feel that curling irons are “precise.” The barrels of them having an attached clamp forms your curls for you, or I should say- keeps them in place. However; I feel that the wand obviously is all how you control your hair, it’s just there to heat you up!Because I only have to worry about 1 step: wrapping my hair around it, I just feel like it’s easy, simple, and my curls come out however I want them to! There’s hair freedom with a wand- and healthier curls with L’ange’s wands! With the 25mm wand that I’ve been using, which you can see here “Ondule” , I can achieve beach waves, tight ringlets, messy flip curls-you name it! Also, the titanium barrel is so safe on my hair, it leaves my curls soft and bouncy, not stiff like I get from other curling tools! There are a bunch of different wands that L’ange offers, and I highly suggest trying one out-it saved my life- no lie!I can now curl my hair and have hair for 3-4 Days that looks like I “tried” haha (a moms dream right?)Ask me how to save! And check out these messy curls I achieved from my wand!

The power of Heat Shield!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a great 2018 so far! I’ve been up and at ’em. If you haven’t already seen everywhere I’ve been announcing our Youtube channel has finally launched! In these videos I am always featuring my favorite products from L’ange Hair!

I wanted to dedicate this post all about the importance of Heat Shield on your hair! Before blow drying, before straightening, and before wanding I am always coating my hair with heat shield. Misting your hair with protection is so important to avoid heat damage-and i’m the Queen of damaged hair-haha

A few years back I remember a hair dresser telling me not putting heat protectant on my hair is like throwing a dessert in the oven without coating the pan with butter/oil- yikes?!

After falling in love with L’ange it became such a habit to throw on their heat shield, and aside from feeling comfortable with not damaging my hair, I fell in love with the smell, and how it made my hair feel!

I have noticed such a difference in my hair- after straightening it with Heat shield, I no longer have those stiff dry ends. And after wanding my hair, I don’t have those little fly aways.

Lastly, if you haven’t seen my video about their Purple Shampoo and Conditioner duo, you can see it here –> SUBSCRIBE!

Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! Below are also a few photos of my results-so icy, I’m in love!!

No white after Labor Day?!

Hey! As always, I’ve taken a huge step back from this. I just pushed through mid terms, got super sick, then came my birthday and Halloween! I just turned 26 and I feel like a grandma….seriously I was in bed by 11 that night haha

Overall though, I’ve been so proud of myself to be able to balance. I’ve balanced two crazy girls at home, 5 classes, weddings, other events, and still finding time for workouts and blogs!

I received this outfit that was completely out-of-my-element, I originally wore it on my birthday, and totally felt like a nun. The usual me would take the shirt and pair it with a different bottom, or vice versa, buttttt I took the leap and went all out with all-white-everything.

I’ll keep this short and sweet! You can find this set at Style We

Triple threat

Happy Wednesday! Happy October! I say this every time but it’s seriously been forever. I’m a busy bee, 5 classes is no joke, with 2 girls is even more hilarious: but needless to say I’m killin it!

I’m working for an amazing brand right now (from home which is ideal), so I promised myself I would blog more and have the girls involved. I’ve gotten so many requests for the girls to be in the spotlight again and honestly how could I resist?!

Avynn loves her photo taken, but Ivory was a whole different story haha- James was a trooper he kept chasing her then putting her in her “spot” and running out of the frame quickly

Cheetah/leopard made its way back on shelves and I’m not mad. I feel a sense of power wearing it, it’s so bold. The girls are animals so this was perfect for them

I’ve had this top for years, and also I’m loving how faux leather is back!

I tried to dress down my look with these slippers from Simply Vera Wang

Also, I love that I can dress this skirt up or down, with a blouse or a loose tee!

Ave was in such a good mood she kept saying “Mama remember we used to blog when Ivory was in your belly?” Haha

I used to do anything to keep us out of the house while I was still pregnant  but having 2 girls is like having 20, I swear

We grabbed some pretty cute shots, and how cute are their matching skirts from Old Navy?!You guys will also see a lot more of this bag! I’ve teamed up with Lily Jade-this is the chic-est diaper bag I’ve ever seen- obsessed! I’ll be posting on Instagram some amazing features it has!

I’ll keep it short and sweet today- but I wanted to throw red into this blog set to symbolize the strength and power of family. Vegas is still in my thoughts and prayers, and it’s been so hard for me to shake. Hold your family and friends extra tight, all we need to spread is love more than anything.
